Cut out a piece of paper or card and stand it up and curl it into a tube then hold it against your display or holder etc to get an idea of the size you are looking for for your project.  Then measure the paper long height and  measure the diameter when rolled up accross the circle.  Then search our candle sizes for a close match.  e.g
